“Here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and I say, it’s all right” says George Harrison. He seemed to be the Beatle most in touch with nature. He could capture the beauty of a sunrise after a long winter better then anyone else, sweet and simple. After many day’s of rain in the Northeast, New Yorkers were BEYOND happy to get outside and enjoy the outdoor dining. There are still many families who are without power and flooded in their home. Keep them in your thoughts and hope everyone in the northeast can enjoy the beautiful weather soon. The sun and some laughter therapy makes it a great day.
Lucy is so excited to meet some of Ricky’s friends from Cuba who are kicking off their dance show in America at The Tropicana. Lucy meets a couple who only speak Spanish and “Little Renita Perez” who isn’t so “Little” anymore. Lucy goes to spy on the dance “Little Renita” and Ricky are doing and swears that she is going to do that “Sexy Rumba” with Ricky. While Lucy is plotting, Ricky and Renita decide she’s going to do the African tribal dance instead with her original partner. When Lucy gets rid of Renita, with the help of Fred as the “lost” cab driver, she sneaks into The Tropicana and is frightened by the new dance they have decided to do.
At one point in this episode, Desi seemed to break character when he got confused if he was suppose to be speaking Spanish or English, he laughs and stumbles on his line. There must be some comfort when you’re around people who speak your native language when you’re in a different country. All the cooks at my restaurant are from Mexico. They are always talking to each other in Spanish and seem to be at ease and having a lot of fun. I think it’s brave to try to follow your dream and try to build a better life for you and your family. That is what Desi wanted when he moved to America. He lived his dream and started new dreams for other foreign people who move to America.
