Happy Birthday to me!!! I am now a young lady of 27, late 20’s, wow. I have always loved birthday’s, whether its mine or someone else’s. It’s one of the few times in your life where it’s a day that’s all about you. I had a wonderful birthday. I had a day of beauty and I had a birthday party at a gay bar called “Splash” where they have musical mondays. All over the bar are big screens where they show musical numbers from different musicals, movies, award shows even Saturday Night Live. So many of my friends made it out and I was so thankful. I was walking on cloud nine at the end of the night! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Lucy is on the phone gossiping again. Ricky and Fred bet the girls they could hold out longer without gossiping then the girls. Whoever breaks first has to serve the other breakfast in bed for a month. The boys are worried because it’s been three days and the girls haven’t broke. The boys devise a plan to make up a story and say it in their sleep so the girls will have to tell each other because it’ll be so good. The story is their neighbor is running off with the milkman, and of course the girls break. The boys tell them that they made it up and the girls are mad! The next morning as the boys are getting their breakfast in bed, the milkman runs in the room hiding from the husband of the neighbor he’s running off with! Since the story seemed to be true, the girls won the bet. Of course the story was true after Lucy paid the milkman and Mr. Foster.
Since this is my Birthday Blog, here is a quote from Lucille about growing old
“The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.” I think that is true about her, everything about her seemed honest, with that side of humor. I’m lucky, my dad and I share the same birthday, just one day apart. My dad is a perfect example of living honestly. Everything about my dad is honest, he is always true to himself, his work, his friends and most importantly his family. I think my dad is going to live a long and happy life, I hope to do the same.
