A Rainy day night last night, was a good night for watching a movie. In my beautiful red envelope was “Bridges of Madison County”, I had never seen it before. Nothing more fun about seeing a movie you know is a classic and being pleasantly surprised realizing why it is a classic. Clint Eastwood is amazing and SO very attractive. I have to ask, is there ANYTHING Meryl Streep can’t do? I watched her play the amazing Italian Woman stuck in Iowa and then had to watched “Devil Wears Prada” wear she played, well the Devil. Really? The woman is amazing and THE class act!!!
Lucy is in charge of the women's group auction. She promised Ricky she wouldn’t be in charge of events for the women's group anymore so she’s hiding everything she’s auctioning off. Ricky finds it and thinks Lucy has turned into a Kleptomaniac. Ricky brings a “friend” over that is really a psychiatrist. When big mouth Ethel tells Lucy about the “friend” Lucy decides to “give” Ricky a Kleptomaniac. When the boys come home with the doctor, Lucy and Ethel act out like they are bank robbers, a la James Cagny.
In the end Lucy is showing all the things she’s stolen, and one of the things is a baby elephant. Elephants are my FAVORITE animal. Their kindness, uniqueness and their intuition that no other animals seem to have. Wikianswers says Lucille’s favorite animal was dogs, toy poodles. Dogs were my second guess, my first guess was monkey’s. I guess I guessed monkey’s because they are funny, like Miss Lucille Ball, but dogs, dogs are your best friend, like Miss Lucille Ball.
