“The Marriage License”, Season 1, Episode 26, Filmed 2/28/52, Aired 4/7/52

My other set of parents The Kelly’s had their birthday this past week. If I had god parents, it would be them. Their girls are also my best friends or “Kissing Cousins” as we like to call them. Their love story is something out of a book, born one day apart in the same hospital and have been together since the 8th grade. So to them, happy birthday. Look at their story on Caroline’s blog http:/www.thepfeifferpfamily.blogspot.com/.
Lucy notices the last name on her marriage license, where it should say “Ricardo” says “Bacardi”. Lucy worries their license isn’t legal so she runs down to city hall and hopes to fix it. Ricky gets Fred’s friend down at City Hall to tell Lucy it’s not legal. Distraught Lucy want’s to get married all over again, exactly the way it happened the first time. She takes Ricky back to Connecticut to the exact place he proposed, when he doesn’t take it seriously, Lucy gets upset and goes to the nearest hotel, which happens to be owned by the guy who is the gas attendant, sheriff...everything. When they decide to get married then and their, it’s not exactly like the first time, but Lucy wears her wedding dress and looks amazing.
I thought it was so interesting that they decided to make the name “Bacardi”. Desi Arnaz Grandfather was one of the original partners to “Bacardi Rum”. That was Desi’s shout out to his family. Who want’s a Pina Colada?
